I’m very pleased that we’ve been granted a direct award on the West Coast Main Line by the Department for Transport (DfT).  The new contract will deliver significant benefits for our customers, including a major programme of investment to roll out free, faster Wi-Fi.

We’re upgrading all of our 56 Pendolino trains, improving the on-board equipment which will allow us to extend free Wi-Fi to every Pendolino customer.

We have opened applications for the only train driver apprenticeship scheme in the UK.

We’re working with the textiles team at HMP Northumberland to recycle our old uniforms.

We were recently awarded one of the top overall ratings for long distance franchised operators in the latest National Rail Passenger Survey (NRPS), scoring 91%.

New figures released show that over half a million journeys were made between Chester and London last year, setting a record for the number of journeys taken on the route.

We opened our new bike hub at Coventry station in November 2017, the final in our scheme which has created over 500 additional spaces on our route.
