In April, we welcomed Lisa Smart MP for Hazel Grove and Baroness Hayman for two cab rides, aligned with their weekly journeys to and from Westminster. 

Reflecting on the visit, Lisa said: 
"It was genuinely fascinating to find out more about the vital work that the Avanti drivers do, particularly seeing – and hearing! – first hand what happens on the route I use to commute to Westminster. In particular, it was good to find out more about the training and processes that keep everyone safe, and to be able to raise questions that my constituents ask about the vital service provided on the West Coast Mail Line." 

During the visits, our stakeholder team highlighted the operational complexity of the route, including the interaction of multiple services, and to showcase collaborative work with Network Rail to improve performance.
